Bridges Volunteer Program
Description
Bridges brings older adults from the community into the classroom to help children
who are performing below grade level. While tutoring a child one-on-one,
a volunteer increases the child's basic academic skills in reading, English
and math, helps the child develop a better attitude toward school, and positively
influences the child's self-esteem
