Projects
The goal is to plant 10,000 trees during September, October, and November 2008. We are relying on volunteers, community groups, homeowners,
businesses, and our city partners to develop tree planting projects throughout the
valley. If you have a project in mind, please contact Lorna at (801)
468-3571 or lvogt@slco.org.
Check back for a growing list of planting projects in your neighborhood. Or start a
project close to home:
- organize a street tree planting in your neighborhood
- sponsor a tree planting at a local community center
- sponsor a tree planting at a senior citizen center or retirement home
- organize a tree planting at your neighborhood school
- plant a family tree
- plant an Angel

Spanish Language Translator - Public Health Clinic
Job Description
Conduct surveys of clients in the pediatric and prenatal clinics to determine
understanding of oral hygiene and effectiveness of education. Additional
duties may entail contacting families to obtain updated immunization
information

Salt Lake Valley Health Department - South Main Public Health Center

Work hours
The clinic is open M-F 8-5. We are flexible and will take a person from 4-20 hours a week. We prefer the following days and times:
Monday - pm
Wednesday- am or pm
Thursday- am or pm
Friday- pm

Immunization Records clerk/specialist
South Main Clinic
3195 South Main Street
SLC, UT
Skills: Ability to use a computer, and to learn 2 programs that are used specifically for
the SLVHD Immunization Program (one connects the user to the State Imm
record system. He/she would check the Health Dept Imm records on
computer, and the State HD record system) enter immunizations into the
systems.
Call parents to update their child’s immunization record, with dates and
vaccines received at the MD, or other clinics.
Hours: The regular clinic hours at South Main Clinic are 8am to 5pm

This position is very focused on immunizations--we are trying to update
records and get children back into our clinics, or their MD offices to get immunized.
