Retired Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP)
Description
The RSVP Program serves senior volunteers and the community. No matter
what your skills, experience, education, trade or profession, RSVP is a place
where you can spend your time actively, with dignity and purpose. If you
are 55 years of age or older, you will have the opportunity to share your wisdom,
talent and time with others in your community who need you and your commitment.

Volunteer Opportunities
Volunteers’ skills, interests and available time are matched with community
needs to establish a fulfilling volunteer experience. Opportunities are
varied from tutoring or mentoring youth in schools throughout Salt Lake County
to providing variety of services to the elderly; working on environmental projects,
in museums, food pantries or disaster services; assisting children that have
been removed from their homes and many more opportunities in a variety of settings.
Volunteer Requirements
- Must be 55 years of age or older.
Training & Support
RSVP provides orientation. Additional training varies by specific volunteer
assignment and is provided by the organization you choose to volunteer with. RSVP
Volunteers receive multiple benefits, including supplemental insurance coverage,
mileage or meal reimbursement, and a festive annual recognition.
