Usher with
Salt Lake County Center for the Arts Patron Services
Description:
Patron Services provides Front of House services (ticket taking, handing out
programs, coat check, assisting patrons to their seats, etc.) to anyone who
rents our venues for performances. The goal of Patron Services is to
provide complete, competent, and courteous service to all patrons who attend
these performances.
Patron Services staffs the following venues:
Abravanel Hall - 123 West South Temple
Capitol Theatre - 50 West 200 South
Rose Wager Performing Arts Center - 138 West Broadway (300 South)
Applications for volunteer usher are accepted between May 1st and August 31 of each year.

Volunteer Requirements:
* Must be 16 years of age or older
* Possess excellent communication and problem solving skills
* Ability to work under pressure
* Stand for long periods of time
* Walk up and down stairs
* Adaptability
* Follow the dress code, arrive on time, and stay throughout the entire event
* Commit to a full season of service
* Work a minimum of THREE EVENTS per month
* Willingness to work in all THREE VENUES
Training & Support:
Volunteers receive training and support on the job. Also, special, mandatory
training meetings on topics such as sexual harassment, CPR, ADA, etc. will be provided.
